The Most Beautiful (And Bizarre) Toilets In London

Restaurants spend a few pennies, well a couple of thousands of pounds on their aesthetics and interior to make it Insta-worthy. But some go above and beyond and create some stunning bathrooms, the lavatories, the loos, whatever you call them. Now, you can take selfies in the toilets in look fabulous! So we decided to share with you the most beautiful toilets you will see in London and we have to say, the most jaw-dropping as well!

  1. It’s A Jungle Out There! – Annabel’s

You won’t believe it but the only place the Annabel’s allows you to take pictures is their bathroom! Well you can’t blame them, it looks stunning. The room’s current incarnation is a jungle-inspired oasis designed by Martin Brudnizki. Decked out with pink onyx basins, bespoke Murano mirrors and more glittering tiles that you could shake a stick at, it’s not hard to see why the bathroom has such an exclusive list of attendees. A-listers celebrities have gathered around this bathroom to take selfies! If it’s good enough for them, it’s good enough for us.

2. It’s A Girls World – Blame Gloria

You wouldn’t believe this, but this used to be a public toilet. Blame Gloria transformed these toilets into a VIP toilet for the public.  Expect photo-ready lighting, pretty rose petals and glittering sinks. The real show stopper though? The pink collage wallpaper, which has been created using images of iconic women, from Iris Apfel to Gwen Stefani and Ab Fab’s Patsy, beehive and all.

3. The Artistic One – The Ned

If you step into this toilet, you will feel like you are stepping back in time, perhaps in 1920s. And we do mean it in a good way.

With checkerboard tiles, powder pink walls and an oh-so-pretty velvet kissing seat, it’s designed with late-night debriefs and clattering heels in mind. Better yet? All the products here come courtesy of Cowshed, so yes, you will leave smelling divine, and no, we won’t judge you for decanting some to take with you.

4. The Future One – Sketch

This is the most famous toilet on Instagram – it’s the most bonkers in London. Looking to be straight out of the latest sci-fi blockbuster, these egg-shaped cubicles stand tall under a dance floor-inspired ceiling. And the disco doesn’t stop there, once inside and seated, the visitor is treated to an LED light show along with futuristic sound effects (which are quite handy for covering those, er, other symphonies…)

5. Floristic One – Restaurant Ours

This swanky Kensington spot that’s adorned with hanging plants, twinkling lights and plush booths. Head to the powder room though and you’ll find an LA-inspired paradise, complete with pastel pink tiles and palm trees aplenty. And if that wasn’t enough to tempt you? Rihanna has previously paid this place a visit, so you may well find your tush seated exactly where her famous Bajan behind has been.

6. Mega Views – Aqua Shard

Fancy taking a tinkle whilst admiring views from the 31st floor? Swish contemporary British restaurant, Aqua Shard is the place for you. Not for those who suffer from vertigo, the urinals here boast some pretty mega views over London’s skyline, just maybe wait ‘til you’re all zipped up before attempting to take a snap.

7. Very Pinky One – Brasserie Of Light

A wonderland of pink marble, the lavatories at Brasserie Of Light scream decadence. Found inside Selfridges, they’re the perfect place to take a break after a long day of shopping, or snap a selfie in your new buys. And if the wall-to-wall pink isn’t quite extra enough for you? Try checking out the 24-foot crystal-encrusted Damien Hirst horse that is suspended above the dining room. It would be rude not to ‘gram it.

8. The Hall Of Fame – NOPI

Ever been called out for taking too long in the bathroom? Well now you have a legitimate excuse, because finding your way out of NOPI’s hall of mirrors-style WC could take you a little while. The ultimate selfie-backdrop, this ultra-sleek bathroom will have you seeing double before you’ve had your first sip of wine. Luckily Ottolenghi’s team have installed handy gold lettering, alerting you to the cubicle’s entrance, no doubt averting some close calls.

9. Lindsay Lohan – Tonight Josephine

No stranger to a cheeky Instagram shoot (or twelve), Tonight Josephine is the Shoreditch venue that’s decked out with glittering pink walls, a mirrored ceiling and girl power neon signs. When you’re all pooped out from getting down to Brit on the dance floor? You may wanna check out the loos, which are presided over by noughties queen, Lindsay Lohan. Each cubicle comes complete with one of Li Lo’s many iconic mugshots, making it the perfect place to recreate those Mykonos dance moves.

There you have it, you can now explore London’s most beautiful toilets! 🙂

While you are at it, don’t forget to snap a picture and post it on your Instagram feed! #exploremoredomore
