Eurostar Announces £40 Tickets Amsterdam To London

Eurostar passengers will be able to travel directly from Amsterdam to London St Pancras from the end of October. The best part of this is that the tickets will only cost £40! There has been a direct route from St Pancras to the Netherlands since 2018 but when passengers returned back to the UK they had to stop in Belgium for security checks.

UK Border Force officials will now be stationed in Amsterdam and Rotterdam to carry out passport checks.

Tickets will cost £40 each way and will go on sale from 1 September. So if you are up for a trip, we suggest you set a reminder.

The UK Government removed the Netherlands from its list of countries people can travel to without having to quarantine on their return.

With the United Kingdom (leaving) the European Union we would think that it will be harder to travel but as we can see we do have strong links to the European Union.

Any passengers who arrive back in the UK from the Netherlands after 15 August will have to self-isolate for 14 days under coronavirus safety measures.

Eurostar said on its website that its trains are deep cleaned before every journey and a new seat map system will ensure passengers are kept a safe distance apart.

The new return route starts on 26 October and will mean passengers can travel between St Pancras and Amsterdam Centraal in just over four hours. We are excited about this because more people from the Netherlands will be able to explore more and do more London. At Central Hotel London we already have quite a few frequent guests coming yearly from the Netherlands and with this new route, our current guests will be able to travel easier.

Passengers will also be able to go from Rotterdam, located south of Amsterdam, and back to London in just under three-and-a-half hours.

The Home Office has confirmed its Frontier Control agreement, currently in place with France and Belgium, which will be extended to cover trains coming from the Netherlands.
